Microdosing

Engage in the retrieval of your wellbeing

“When I speak of healing, I am referring to the natural movement towards wholeness. It is a direction, not a destination. True healing means opening ourselves to the truth of our lives, past and present”

Gabor Maté. The Myth of Normal

THE WORLD OF MICRODOSING ASSISTED THERAPY

I have been working with psychedelic medicine in ritual by exploring altered states of consciousness for over two decades. I have guided transformational retreats for over seven years in Southern California.

My approach is rooted in Indigenous reciprocity. It is fundamental for you dear one, to learn who you trust your process of healing with. The therapeutic use of psychedelics (from the Greek psyche: mind / deloun: manifesting) requires the proper set and setting and the right intention and guidance.

Microdosis refers to the practice of taking a very small amount of a psychedelic substance in our case, psilocybin, in order to achieve subtle effects.

Too little and there won’t be any results, but too much and your day may become a bit too colorful.  The dose should never impair cognitive function. Evidence from observational and scientific studies suggests that microdosing with psilocybin, the psychoactive ingredient in magic mushrooms, can improve cognitive function and alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety, PTSD, behavioral issues, ancestral and generational trauma; while enhancing your own creative skills and capabilities; showing you the way to a more fulfilling, joyful life.

How we work together

We meet for an initial consultation in which we will go in detail about your current physical, mental, and emotional health, specific issues you want to address, past experience with plant medicine.

After that meeting I will create a protocol specifically designed for your needs. The Stacking Protocol is more intense than regular microdosing protocols and it has a defined structure, therefore it should be done for a maximum of one month followed by a week reset period (no microdosing).

When you follow a stacking protocol, you combine supplements that enhance each other's effects.

A Held Container – Personalized guidance, ritual, and reflection to honor your process

Deep Nervous System Healing – Softening trauma, easing the mind, and rebalancing emotions
Ancestral & Lineage Work – Clearing inherited imprints and reconnecting to the wisdom within your blood
Integration Practices – Earth-based rituals, breath, and nourishment to ground the medicine into daily life

The Benefits of Microdosing Psilocybin on the Brain

Microdosing psilocybin—taking sub-perceptual amounts of the psychoactive compound found in sacred mushrooms—can have profound effects on the brain, supporting neuroplasticity, emotional regulation, and cognitive function while helping to ease patterns of trauma, depression, and anxiety.

  • Psilocybin stimulates neurogenesis, encouraging the growth of new neurons and the formation of new neural pathways.

  • It increases Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), a protein that supports learning, memory, and mental flexibility—helping to break free from old thought loops, limiting beliefs, and emotional conditioning.

  • Psilocybin enhances communication between different regions of the brain, especially between the default mode network (DMN), limbic system, and prefrontal cortex.

  • This leads to:

    • Less overactivity in the DMN, which is linked to excessive self-criticism, anxiety, and depression.

    • More connection between logical and emotional processing, supporting deeper emotional intelligence and self-awareness.

  • Psilocybin acts on serotonin receptors (5-HT2A), which regulate mood, emotions, and overall well-being.

  • Regular microdosing can help:

    • Lift depressive states and create a sense of lightness and presence.

    • Reduce anxiety and emotional reactivity, allowing for a more grounded approach to life.

    • Unblock suppressed emotions in a gentle, non-overwhelming way, facilitating integration and healing.

  • By interrupting compulsive thought cycles and increasing mindfulness, psilocybin can help break addictive behaviors, emotional loops, and unconscious habits.

  • It promotes a shift in perspective, making it easier to recognize patterns and choose different responses.

  • Many report increased clarity, problem-solving abilities, and a more fluid way of thinking with microdosing.

  • Creativity is boosted as the brain makes new connections between ideas and experiences, allowing for deeper insights and expanded perspectives.

  • Psilocybin helps dissolve the illusion of separation, fostering greater empathy, presence, and a sense of interconnectedness with nature, the body, and the world around us.

  • It can support a more embodied, heart-centered way of living, deepening spiritual connection and alignment.

This is an invitation for those who feel the call.

To move slowly. To remember.

To trust the way the medicine works through you. If you are ready to walk this path with reverence, reach out, and let’s begin.

By integrating ancestral wisdom, rituals, and ceremonies into your microdosing experience, we are able to honor our own indigenous heritage and tap into this ancient knowledge passed down through generations.

Microdosing with Psilocybin: An Indigenous Practice

Microdosing with psilocybin is an Indigenous practice goes beyond the scientific and medicinal framework. As we move forward, it is vital that we acknowledge and honor the indigenous roots of this practice, ensuring that it is preserved and respected for future generations.

We acknowledge that the utilization of this powerful fungi ally is deeply rooted in indigenous practices specially coming from the Mazatec of Huautla de Jiménez in Oaxaca, Mexico. Psilocybin, a naturally occurring compound found in certain species of mushrooms, has been revered for centuries by Indigenous communities for its psychoactive properties and spiritual significance and as a tool for healing, growth, and connection to the natural world. Often referred to as a sacrament or sacred medicine, its intentional use has been an integral part of indigenous traditions for millennia.

Moreover, microdosing with psilocybin provides Indigenous peoples with an opportunity to reclaim their traditional practices and reinforce their cultural identity.
It is crucial to approach microdosing with psilocybin in an Indigenous context with cultural sensitivity, respect, and permission. The knowledge and practices surrounding psilocybin are inherently tied to specific Indigenous cultures and should be approached with utmost reverence and without appropriation.

LOS NIÑOs santos

Microdosing with the sacred niños de luz enhances cognitive function—that includes everything from attention and memory to maintaining a cheerful disposition. It is a wonderful follow up to the work in ceremony to anchor the intentions and keep integrating the insights you received into the fabric of our daily lives.

There is emerging evidence that microdosing impacts neuroplasticity allowing the brain to rewire set-in mental pathways and even build new ones in areas that have atrophied. Which is why they are being considered for the treatment of stress and trauma related disorders like addiction and depression, PTSD, sleep issues, all the way to neurogenerative disorders like Alzheimers and Parkinson’s.

WORDS FROM our MICRODOSIS PATIENTS:

“Adela is a knowledgeable, warm, loving, supportive presence in your journey of health and inner reflection.  Her deep background in traditions and medicine practices from a variety of cultures and systems provides you with a framework to choose the modalities that speak to you.

And if you are not local to her, she keeps in contact from afar and is there to help as you navigate your healing.  The resources she provides and recommends allow you to delve deeper into the medicinal systems, to understand on a variety of levels how the traditional ways worked with plant medicine, what view of the world and universe they held and to dive deep into the systems she works with.”

Elen.

“I believe that taking care of yourself should always come first! When I started attending retreats with Adela, it was on a macro level through ceremony. The benefits of this magic medicine would carry on with me for days and sometimes weeks. I would tell Adela that I don’t ever want this beautiful & loving feeling to go away. She suggested that I start micro-dosing. I am about to finish my first month now, and cannot say enough about the benefits I have experienced after such a short period of time. The measures of connectedness, contemplation, creativity, focus, happiness, productivity, and wellbeing are just a few to mention and that I have experienced thus far. I cannot Thank Adela enough for introducing me to this fascinating medicine which not only promotes self-exploration but also cognitive enhancement. I will definitely keep exploring with psilocybin and will continue my regime to see what else it can heal.”

Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus)

Lion's Mane is an ancient medicinal mushroom. It is a proven neuroprotectant meaning that protects brain cells from damage. This mushroom has a well-earned reputation for balancing general well-being and supporting brain function and clarity. Lion's mane is a mushroom typically found in Europe, Asia, and North America. The lion's mane mushroom was given its name because of its distinctive tendrils and strands that cascade from the mushroom cap.

lion's mane psilocybin

Some of the benefits of the regular but supervised intake of Lion’s mane are:

Improved memory - Improved creativity - Creation of new neurons and neural pathways - Counteracting signs of brain-aging - Improved vision and auditory neurons - Stimulates Nerve Growth Factor (NGF) - May reduce heart disease risk. Studies show that taking Lion's Mane mushrooms can help improve insulin sensitivity. This means you will need less sugar to get energy, which reduces the risk of diabetes or weight gain. Lion's Mane has also been shown to reduce inflammation in the gastrointestinal system.

Niacin

Niacin, or nicotinic acid, has an important role in energy metabolism and protein metabolism. Nicotinic acid has an antioxidant effect and is involved in many enzymatic processes. It is important for the regeneration of the skin, muscles, nerves and DNA. In particular, it helps the psilocybin and lion’s mane get through the blood-brain barrier, giving them optimal effects. This is where they contribute to cognitive functions, as well as the growth of new brain cells and the creation of new neural connections.
