I always had a fascination with dreamcatchers. Since I can remember, my nights have been extremely colorful -to put it nicely- I have always been a dreamer, a night deep sleep dreamer. The intense, profound, magnificent world of dreams was for times as important as my reality awake. I was so taken with everything that happened when I slept, that I started recording my dreams in writing; I couldn't understand if they were messages, a life in a parallel reality, premonitions, my crazy head? So to be able to better understand them and cope, I wrote the stories of my dreams in little pieces of parchment paper that I would later roll and tie with blue silk ribbon. I kept them in a wooden box where my diaries, letters and pictures hid. I would fly over mountains, fast, feeling the wind on my face, I would flap my arms hard to gain speed and altitude. Sometimes I crashed. The flying ones where spectacular, I remember one quiet clear; I was standing by the edge of the window of my 13 year old room. My dad was standing next to me. We held hands and I told him I was going to teach him how to fly. He trusted me. We jumped. Fearless into the dark sky. And we rose up, up, higher and higher flying over my city. On top of roofs, chimneys, playgrounds, brushing the trees. Pure joy.

And then there were the dark ones, the premonitions and scares, sleep paralysis, physical pain, absolute fear. All too real, to the point where for a short period of time, I was literally scared of the night and falling asleep.

What are my dreams made of? Where do they come from and why me? why does my partner next to me can sleep sound and never visit any places and live so intensely while sleeping?

I am grateful for this gift and because of it the creative process kicks in and the need to express manifests in different ways. This time making things with my hands, perhaps to help others or symbolically to represent my magical word of dreams.

I present you my first dreamcatchers, I have so many ideas, so many designs and wonderful materials to work with. Follow me on instagram and subscribe to this blog to know more.

Sonder Living Event, Miami and the Keys, DIY necklaces party kitsAdela D'AngeloComment

On June 9th, we were part of a wonderful event at HD Buttercup in Culver City, CA honoring the cool and sleek designs of Sonder Living.

Mia and Lily were honored to sponsor the event gifting one of a kind bracelets for all in attendance.

Huge shout out to the most amazingly fashionable mama Tanya Dempsey and the hot Sechoir team for putting together such an amazing event.

Juan got me a beautiful Alexander Wang dress for the occasion which I styled it with Ibiza Rose Quartz necklace and some tassel bracelets. All our friends came to support. We drank some bubbly, got silly and posed for pictures. Tanya's husband, Rick, introduced one of his awesome wines and everyone left with some chic goodies. A very LA night indeed!

Once the valet brought us the car, I quickly changed onto a pair of cozy harem pants and a sweat shirt and we headed to a friend's house to deliver a set of DIY kits of necklaces for a beautiful 11 year old birthday's party.

Mission accomplished! Happy  Birthday Indra!

Check out the images here. If you or someone you know is having an event, birthday or party, what better idea than to sit around amongst friends and make some necklaces! Pre teens, teens and adults alike.

The next day we caught a flight to Miami and Key West to relax and play.

Nevertheless in between our playtime, there was plenty of work as well. Photoshoot planning for me  and business meetings for Juan.

Never a dull moment. Never! And that's how we roll!

So yesterday we had a small gathering with some amazing women who came to support the launch of Mia and Lily.

Steffi was so gracious to open her doors to us. In between prosecco drinks and chocolate truffles, we talked and laughed and tried on different pieces. I got some great feedback and ideas!

I'm so lucky to be surrounded with these crazy, talented and loving group of females.

Stayed tuned for the next show and our first market appearances.

Peace and light...

Mia and Lily photo shootAdela D'AngeloComment

These are really exciting news! First post ever is all about the amazing photo shoot we just had for our website and catalog.

I was so lucky to find these three gorgeous girls, Maddie, Sydney and Sabrina, who worked their magic in front of our cameras and who totally represent the spirit of our brand.

And I can't forget to mention my best friend, sister from another continent, and partner in crime Steffi, who spent all her afternoon helping us get some incredible shots with her great eye and creativity. The stars were truly aligned, don't you love it when that happens? The right energy, beautiful skies, a warm light and an all around beautiful flow and cosmic chemistry between five women.

This is the start of great things to come!

The fun never stops, behind the scenes moments, some down time and some silly time...

I would love to introduce to you Maddie, in her own words-

maddie bio.jpg

Madison was born and raised in the Los Angeles area. She is a laid back barefoot outdoorsy gal who spends most of her free time surfing, swimming, snowboarding, skating, hiking, climbing, snorkeling and eating pineapples. She is working towards a degree in communications and hopes to work with the media. She has been doing film, theatre and modeling all of her life and hopes to incorporate her lifestyle in all of her work. She is an advocate for sustaining the environment and often is involved with beach clean ups. She travels often and aspires to see the world.

Beautiful Sabrina -

I am 22 years old, and I am from San Diego, CA. I am currently studying Psychology at the University of Southern California. I consider myself to be a multipotentialite, because I have so many passions in life.

I would love to become actress/model, producer/writer, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. I have a strong love for working with children. I have four younger siblings, and I am an active supporter of Autism and bullying awareness. I am a health nut, I enjoy being outdoors and especially practicing yoga. My goals in life are to inspire, have fun, and follow my heart no matter what!

And striking Sydney -

Sydney displayed her interest for entertainment at a young age. Whether she was reciting lines from her favorite Disney movie or begging her Mom to take photos of her; she was made for the camera. She began modeling at the age of 6. She was enrolled in modeling and etiquette classes preparing her to enter into the wonderful world of Beauty Pageants. She learned the art of multitasking early when she juggled beauty pageants, being a pop warner cheerleader, remaining a top student and all the teachers' favorite.

Her pageant talent was singing and that began to take off for her. By her teen years, she began strengthening her music gifts with programs such as Cab Calloway Fine Arts and Woodlawn's Vocal Chorus. She continued to model for local fashion brands eventually landing in NYC after high school.

Now a Los Angeleno, she is back from her college break and ready to take everything she came for. She has recently been signed to Hit Records Only in hopes of producing the EP that breaks barriers; as well as a modeling contract with Angelz Nation. She is a go-getter, great to work with and always a great addition to any team.
